Here’s what we’re up to…

Tracking on the new album is complete!

Hey  Everybody!

We spent last weekend up in Pembroke with Jordon Zadorozny and are really proud of what has come out of these sessions! We finished up the final three of ten tracks for our first full-length album which is tentatively titled “Find Your Way.” We spent the weekend working on “Capsize to Baptise,” a revamped version of “Snakes and Ladders,” and “Wrong.” The tracks are now being sent to Abbey Road for mastering. We are all set for a release date of May 22, 2011 at LiVE Lounge in Ottawa, 128 York St.

Make sure you pack the house at LiVE Lounge February 18th and Carleton University’s Oliver’s Pub on March 18th! We will be playing songs from the new album at both shows! Hear it live first!

More great news to come…

Now for the interesting bit:

So, on the way to Pembroke, Jay’s beauty of a 2001 Cavalier breaks down in Renfrew on the way to French Kiss Studio. Not even two minutes after we call the tow truck, a 1980′s Chevelle rips by us going at least 120 km/ph. What kind of hyper advanced 1980 technology did auto companies decide to just stop using? Any mechanics out there?

Things we recommend/like this week: Derek and Clive, Phil Collins, Mubarek stepping down, the new website, you.

Speaking of the new site, brought to you care of Stewart Masek and NewCap Radio’s Big Money Shot 2010, how does it look? Take a tour and leave us a comment. Use the swanky “Contact” tab to send us direct e-mail, which one of will respond to promptly… unless you want to change our wireless provider.

What’s going on for us Jan-Feb 2011

Hello everyone!

So we’re off to a great start for 2011! On January 8th, we rocked Rancho Relaxo in Toronto and had a wonderful time. “buying shots for bands,” a great Toronto music blog came out, bought us shots and snapped some pics of the show (and the shots). We look forward to their review of our show, so keep your eye out for it!

Last night (Jan 10) we made an appearance on CHUOfm, spending 15 minutes chatting with the hosts and then playing acoustic versions of Another World and Jettison. Check out some of the pics Maciej Czop took on our facebook page here:

We are back in the studio in Pembroke with Jordon Zadorozny for six days this month and will be finishing up tracking the new album, which we will be releasing may 24 weekend at the Live Lounge!

We are featured in this month’s Fulcrum, check it out here:¬† Thanks a lot to Eva Morin for the great article!

Stewart Masek has been hard at work on our new, full-featured website. We received the concept pages last night and they were stunning! We will be launching it soon, so stay tuned!

Mark February 18th off on your calendar as we will headlining the Live Lounge in Ottawa with special guests Shortwave, visiting us from Toronto. We will be making an appearance on A Channel Morning to promote the show that week as well!

We would like to extend our well-wishes to Eugene Haslam, owner of Ottawa’s iconic Zaphod Beeblebrox, who has recently had surgery following a stroke. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to his continued service to our community.

Thanks, everyone! We will you all success in 2001!!

Matt, Rob, Mik and Jay

..P.S. As always, we appreciate the patience and friendship of the wonderful and magical Eric Wehrle and Chelsea Miller for letting us make loud noises in their basement!
