2011: A Year In Review | 2012: What’s To Come

What an amazing year! We have had an absolutely incredible time in 2011 and we owe you all some thanks. With your support, in 2011 we:

-Released our debut full-length album, Find Your Way

-Wrote, recorded and released our new single Enough Of This which is now in rotation on LiVE 88.5

-Won $40,000 in the LiVE 88.5 Big Money Shot

-Played over 50 shows across Ontario in cities including Ottawa, Toronto, Bracebridge, Kingston, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo and Peterborough

-Played numerous University radio shows including CKCU and CHUO

-Appeared on A Channel Morning three times and Rogers Daytime twice

-Appeared on Clarence Street Live

-Supported numerous charities including WaterCan, Breast and Prostate Cancer Research and the Ottawa Arts

-Began working on our new EP

We could not have done any of this without your help. Thank you all so much for telling your friends and family about us and bringing them out to shows.

Below we have posted a little treat we have been hanging on to for quite some time. Matt, Jay and Josh recorded an acoustic version of Complicating Matters back in the summer of 2009 during the Pictures On Silence sessions. Feel free to download and share as we celebrate how far we have come since then!

What’s to come for 2012?

Hearts&Mines kicks of the year at the LiVE Lounge on January 20th with a few surprises. We will be hosting RIKERS and are looking forward to giving them a warm welcome!

Dan Martelock has been hard at work on new merch, so stay tuned for new designs!

A music video is in the works with Tom Shock!

Also, we will be continuing to work on our new EP and plan to work with various producers which may include Jordon Zadorozny, Mike Langford, Eric Eggelston and James Robertson. We are very excited about the new material and can’t wait to give you a first listen. If you can’t wait, make sure you check out a show this year! Speaking of shows, we are currently planning a Canadian tour, which may find us in your hometown this spring/summer/fall! Want to make sure we are planning to come?
