Bio
Hearts & Mines is an Ottawa-based alternative group making a difference by making great music. Formed in 2009 by Matt Luloff (lead vocals, guitar) following his military service in Afghanistan, Hearts & Mines delivers powerful and emotionally charged songs that cut through the sonic clutter. The lyrical poetry of Luloff’s songs is driven home by a full band including Jason Watts on drums and backing vocals, Rob Hanlon on bass and Michael Pineault on keys. Resiliant, zealous and emotionally raw, Hearts & Mines strike a nerve with listeners, reminding them of the injustice of this world and pushing for change. Over the past year, with development assistance from NewCap Radio, Hearts & Mines have been able to take their sound to a broader audience, making multiple television and radio appearences and playing shows across Ontario. Currently in studio recording their first full-length album with producer Jordon Zadorozny (Sam Roberts Band, Melissa Auf der Maur) Hearts & Mines is set to light listeners on fire with its unique brand of agro-pop. This is the soundtrack of the revolution.
